Types of Design

Graphic Design is a type of design that uses colorful elements, either pictures or underlying messages to convey a specific message.  It is mainly thought of as a visual communication and presentation.  Graphic design refers to the process to create the imaging and the imaging itself.  Examples of graphic design are logos, web sites, advertisements and many other things.
Engineering Design is the plot or plan that an engineer uses to create a project.  It includes a tedious process that includes research, requirements and possible designs to use for the final product.  The whole engineering design process is to assist engineers to make the best product possible.  Examples include pictures of possible products, and any other piece of information the engineer needs to create the product. The picture below is an example of a final product.

Web design is the process of designing web sites. It is the most simple type of design to understand but isn’t the easiest to complete.  It can be comprised of a collection of articles and documents that the author wishes to convey to other people.  Web design consists of a lot of different types of information that are all used to convey the specific message or purpose the author has.
